MMPC would like to assure the public that the Montero Sport is neither defective nor unsafe to use. MMPC and its principal Mitsubishi Motors Corporation of Japan (MMC), has conducted extensive testing and investigation of all submitted claims of unintended acceleration, using current and available technology to determine the cause of said Unintended Acceleration but has not found any defects or cause directly linked to the vehicles involved. MMC technical experts went to MMPC to conduct series of tests on the units with this complaint when it was first observed in 2011. That same year, in the absence of an automotive third party testing facility in the Philippines, MMPC sent a Montero Sport unit with sudden unintended acceleration complaint to MMC's proving ground in Okazaki, Japan to be inspected and tested. In all these tests, MMC found no defect or malfunction that would result in the alleged sudden unintended acceleration. MMC and MMPC have concluded that the performance and behavior of the Montero Sport is completely dependent on driver action and reaction, and that the vehicle will only move upon driver intervention. Nonetheless, MMPC is committed to consumer safety and earnestly request owners of Montero Sport that if they have concerns about this issue, to contact Mitsubishi Customer Care Center at telephone number (+632) 250-8888, Monday to Friday, or visit any of our service centers nationwide for a free check-up. During the free check-up, qualified personnel will also provide tips on the best and safest way of operating the vehicle.

Mirage Eco Dash game app's top 10 players race one last time for a brand new Mitsubishi Mirage GLS
On March 22, 2015, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation will gather the ten best players of its Mirage Eco Dash game application to a culminating event that will see one lucky Mirage Eco Dasher drive off with a brand new Mitsubishi Mirage GLS (Manual Transmission). The finals will be held at the SM Mall of Asia parking grounds during the hotly-anticipated Mitsubishi Summer Expo.
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation is the first ever car company in the Philippines to develop a game app with real world prizes and they have gone all-out in support of this game since its launch back in September 2014 during the 5th Philippine International Motor Show. Every month since the launch, the top 5 players of the game won brand new iPad Minis as they eagerly zoomed towards the grand prize.
In less than 6 months, Mirage Eco Dash reached nearly 10,000 downloads in both iOS and Android devices. This just goes to show how popular the game has become, given that it provided a chance to win a car just for playing. Mirage Eco Dash sees players drive their very own customizable Mirage as they navigate obstacles, collect coins and power-ups. The frenetic pace keeps players on their toes knowing that every second counts as they go as far as they can to push their scores higher.
The game has generated a ton of excitement, since not a lot of free-to-play (F2P) mobile games give out amazing prizes such as iPad Minis and a brand new car. Just the chance to win was a huge pull for the players and proved to be a great incentive.
The players have been eagerly waiting for the finals as they finally get to see who is the best Mirage Eco Dasher in the country. Mirage Eco Dash is part of Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation's drive through the digital landscape.
